Announcing the launch of Best Entertainment Reviews

Over the last several years, I have learned the ins and outs of writing for a review website. Each site has a focus and sometimes its challenging as a freelance (often unpaid) writer to write exactly what you’d like to say. Thusly, I, along with my dad, created BestEntertainmentReviews.com!

This site is about fans writing for fans. Content will span television and film from all genres. Anything worth watching is worth talking about.

Writers are welcome to join us, regardless of experience. For for information on writing opportunities, email info@bestentertainmentreviews.com.

I hope everyone enjoys the site and I look forward to continuing to engage with fans from all over the world!

Fuller House

Fresh off my last Netflix binge on Jessica Jones, I have launched into my next Netflix Original Series – Fuller House. There is nothing like coming home to family. Well, your TV family that is. For this review I focus on why this series was not all it was cracked up to be, but did offer insight into the maturity and growth some of the characters experienced over the decade and a half since the original’s series finale.  Please read, like and share my latest review!

New Modeling Gallery Page!

I have been invited a few times now to model with Zulily! Zulily is a great company focusing on limited time sales on items for kids and women, from clothing to home goods to toys. They are a Seattle-based company, so they are local to me and have been so nice to keep inviting me back. Please check out my new gallery on the modeling page to see my latest photos!

Steadicam Smoothee: Put Your Old iPhone to Work

I helped contribute to research and testing for a review of Steadicam’s Smoothee for iPhone 5 (& GoPro). Serious Insights and I teamed up to report on the new device finding the functionality to be quite good and a very useful tool for professionals and amateurs alike. Canon Project Imagination Trailer!

For the last few weeks I have been crafting a trailer for Canon’s Project Imagination: The Trailer contest. I worked to establish a story that was engaging and asked for more information. It took some time to come up with the right idea, but I think it turned out all right. Check out the trailer and maybe I will be selected to have this story turned into a short by Ron Howard starring Josh Hutcherson. Who knows??

Being on the set of any movie or TV show can be very exciting, but being on your favorite show’s set – that is the greatest joy of all. I know this because late last year I found my way on to the set of Glee. It is one of my favorite shows and I have always been fascinated by the process of how it was made and dreamed of seeing it all in person. I got my wish and it actually wasn’t that hard. Below I detail the in’s and out’s of getting  cast as an extra, what to bring and all the info you need to know to make the most of the invaluable experience. Continue reading “How To Be An Extra”
